8 Million Dollars Buys Combat Gum For Our Military...Made In Denmark!
It
isn't any old kind of gum. Researchers, has developed an $8 package of
anti-plaque gum that experts here say could save the Army close to $100
million a year. Army dentists contending with “Mountain Dew Mouth” have
had to pull teeth rotted by sugar and phosphoric acid in sodas. Combat
Gum is an ingenious solution. It's going to FDA clinical trials and
could be in GIs' rucksacks by 2013.
Combat gum has been
in development for 10 years, with the Pentagon investing $4 million in
the research. Another $4 million will be spent to package it for
clinical trials next year on military and civilian subjects age 18 to
65. A factory in Denmark will make the gum for the trial.

to take him to a dentist. Now the father, who's facing child
endangerment charges, is speaking out. "He's not a bad kid, man. But he
just likes to lie and he likes to run," said Francisco Torres.

Leading Dentists Condemn Porcelain Pornography
Some
dental patients are having unnecessary, expensive and aggressive
restorative treatment for minor cosmetic problems because porcelain
crowns and veneers are being overused, warns a leading dentist in July’s
edition of the Faculty Dental Journal (FDJ).
The opinion piece, Porcelain Pornography, asserts that the destruction of relatively sound tooth structure (enamel and dentine) to prepare teeth for veneers or crowns can rarely be justified for minor cosmetic or wear problems. There is limited evidence of long-term benefits in these circumstances of brittle porcelain veneers. Available research suggests that after 10 years about 50% of veneers are either no longer present, have had further treatment or are no longer in a satisfactory condition. Mayan Teeth With Dental Inlays 1200 Years Old
Research
has shown that the Mayas did not eat sugar and were accustomed to

Finally, they fixed the inlay in place with a perfect adjustment of the cavity, for which, according to Dr. Fastlicht, they used a cement made from calcium phosphate.
