Fight Heart Disease With Tooth Meditation
You're doing everything your doctor recommends to prevent and fight heart disease and then your dentist tells you that harmful microorganisms can easily and quickly enter your bloodstream throughout the sheer number of highly permeable capillaries under the tongue which increases the likelihood of heart disease and stroke. Now what?

Dentists will advise you to control these bad microorganisms by keeping your mouth bacterial colonies in a healthy balance. You can do this by chewing and swishing thoroughly, around the teeth/gums and under the tongue, healthy bacteria found in fermented foods including vegetable, fruit, milk, seed, cereal grain and laboratory made supplements. It's also very important to clean your oral cavity by daily tooth brushing, flossing, tongue scraping and using herbal antimicrobial rinses.

If you are searching for more alternative ways to improve and maintain heart health I would like to introduce you to one of my favorite fun and easy to do heart healthy meditations. And all it takes is a tap of a foot and a lick of the tongue!

Did you know that every human has two hearts and two tongues? Yes, it's true...sort of! It's easy to feel the primary blood pumping heart muscle behind your rib cage sternum which beats about 100,000 times a day. You also have a "second heart" which is a system of muscles, veins, and valves deep in the calf and foot which pump deoxygenated blood back up to the heart and lungs. Your second heart system, however, must actively contract/relax the surrounding leg muscles to pump the blood upward against gravity.

The best exercise to work the foot/leg muscle pump system and force blood back up to the chest cavity is simple walking. But many of us work 8 hour day jobs standing or sitting and then spend another 2-4 hours after work with more sitting in front of a television or home computer. This sedentary lifestyle doesn't allow time for the constant leg muscle stimulation required to properly move the approximate 2000 gallons of blood flowing through your network of blood vessels throughout the day. I'll show you the solution to this problem in a minute but first I want you to know more about your two tongues.

My book "Teeth In Mortal Combat" clearly relates the ancient Oriental theory about the tongue being an energetic extension of the heart. If you haven't read my book you might find this more believable if you accept the fact that many heart diseases are actually emotional in nature and it's easy to see how the tongue is a vital emotional outlet. If you are still skeptical then try practicing the following meditation for a month and feel the convincing results. You'll be pleasantly surprised when you discover your tongue-heart connection.

Since the human body has two heart systems then according to ancient chi meridian energy principles it's only natural the tongue energy will extend through both hearts. Once your tongue energy passes through the chest heart it's energy extension will divide into two parts in order to pass through the heart system of both right and left legs. You'll see how this happens during the meditation. By the way, this is an excellent exercise that keeps your lower extremity blood flowing to prevent DVT deep vein thrombosis (blood clots in the legs) while suffering through the agony of sitting in the cramped seat of an airliner.
